April 17, 2010 didn't stand a chance when it was put down that JTNL was going to be at Dallas' House of Blues. Now let me put the journalist in me away and say, that whenever I think about the Pardon Me release show, I pat my self on the back mentally and I hope JT, Jord-O, Nick, Kansas, EJ and all involved are doing the same thing. From the fans to the staff to the cars passing by . . . it was a night to remember.
I'm not going to do shout-outs (as much as I want to) but I want to say THANK YOU to any eyes checking out this blog. JTNL has been fortunate. Fortunate. Fortunate. We are what happens when opportunity meets preparation sans fear. As the baby of the group, yet the oldest of the group (38) (did someone just gasp?) Anyhoo, what I was saying was I reside on the outside of an inner circle that ultimatey is one person and we are a part of his vision and to have been a main accesory to the JTNL night, to be loved and appreciated by MUSIC LOVERS and INDUSTRY FOLKS (those I once knew as The Untouchables when I was underground - still one foot in), and to the BAND, MANAGEMENT, TWITTERS, FACEBOOKERS, CLUB-HOPPERS, BILL PAYERS, FOOD GIVERS, REST PROVIDERS, PICTURE TAKERS, FINANCERS, BANKERS, PRAYER-ers . . .THANK YOU. The night was what it was because of you. This one behalf of JTNL!!!
So, I'm at home in bed, after a day at the MLK Learning Center assisting a fourth grade class with creating mosaics that will be put on display at the Dallas Museum of Art in May. Imagine being on display at a National museum and you can't even ride the big rides at Six Flags. Lol! Well, I'm assisting with that and the projects are pretty fascinating. Cable television is wild. Everybody has a reality show. I'm still attached to Nurse Jackie. She rocks. I'm sorry but Nure Jackie gets Mo's vote. I don't watch much television, but this one has my attention.
I did a set Sunday night at the Arcade Bar on Abrams in East Dallas. My keyboard player got sick and I had to cut the set short. It was cold and rainy and the five people present enjoyed themselves. I gave the the news and went on my merry way, glad to get home early. Listened to music and thought about past, present, and future until I was asleep.
What's going on in your world? Hey, I'm putting a special request that you Twitter from our shows. Let those following you know you r n the concert. Get your REPORTER on. Know right from wrong. The STELLAR EPK was sold at the HOB show. It will not be available again until _ I'm not sure right now, but I'll post it. It's the ultimate in underground surfing through the energy utilization of artistry as lifestyle. The STELLAR EPK is my first project. A five song, Soulternative music exploration on my part. If you got it I hope you enjoy it. I'm eternally greatful for the room to be able to push my work at such a pivotal moment. We're going all the way! Are you reading this? Are you reading this?
So get some Fits and the Tantrums in your life after you get some PARDON ME IN YOUR LIFe, then get some THE HEAVY in your life, after you get some PARDON ME in your LIFE. Tomorrow we take over HATTRICK'S n Lewisville,TX. Peep the calendar. K. Gib hip me to both bands the night of the Viper Room show in LA. I'm gaining a wealth of new music knowledge on the road.
