Show number six of our six month tour happened outdoors before several hundreds in Nashville, TN. The weather was great! Let me precursor this with the fact that Nashville is one of our many homes away from home, so the level of pre and post show socializing peaks. We played before Dumpstaphunk, which I totally was xcited about, considering it's been rare occasions that I've even seen a Neville family member live and in person. This band is funky. From the roota to the toota...
Straight up jam funk. Our set was cool. Personally I thought we played at a slower tempo and so did JT, but it wasn't a major issue. Nick has a sinus infection and I'm not sure about Jordan's cough, but it's subsided a little. After the show, we all head to a place called Piranhas (like the human eating fish) and this place is grimy. On the big screen upstairs they r showing videos of people beating the Shyt out of each other and they serve garbage like hamburger patties between two glazed doughnuts. I'm not kidding. Luckily, this was stones throw from the show. I'd been convinced to leave the merch table and after 15 mins in this spot, I headed back to catch JJ Grey.
This was prolly our worst merch nite so far. Once we left Live on the Green it was time to get loose. We caught Jenny Wade on Craig Ferguson, did a round of bourbon shots and that was it for me and my nil tolerance. Besides, I now had a scratch in my throat. JT headed out to celebrate, Brandon headed to the hotel, Jordan hit up Taco Bell and Nick went to hang with the former Effects band who had a recording session. John Solis was in town and I got to hear his tales of being an extra on Good Guys. He's currently touring with Smile Smile a band I've yet to hear, but have a bit of xcitement about. Our morale is mid level. I think illness is affecting it cuz nobody wants to b sick or get sick. Where I come from a laxative, rest, and water fixes problems like this, but in this clique.... I'm not even going there. Out.
