So I'm in Los Angeles, Cacki-lacki. We arrived today around 10:47ish. Traffic on I-10 was back seat to back seat. We discovered that we arrived on the day of the parade celebrating the Lakers' win, so it was semi-understood.

We arrived at the hotel with only 30 mins to shower and regroup for hang-time with the guys over at Atlantic Records. Really nice, sincere people looking out for JTNL. We ate at a intimate feeling lunch spot rightly named MO'S. Yeah, I was impressed. I had a citrus salad that had spinach, lettuce, avocado, seasame seeds, grapefruit slices, and soybeans. I love L.A. for the food alone. After lunch, we dispersed and I was one of the ones to return to the hotel.

Come to find out K'Naan's band is here. I'm feeling like he's here too, but I came across the band members on my way out to lunch. Maybe I'll run back into them later - seemed like a fun bunch. K'Naan is a rapper from Somalia who I've read about on the web and in magazines like SPIN, Rolling Stone and Vibe. He's probably going to be getting Grammy nods this year . . . I feel that about him. Check him out.

So, I get back and go work out in the exercise room. It was hizzzot in there. No AC on and the sun was beaming through the windows. It was like having a treadmill in a sauna. I could only do 30mins before I threw in the towel. I'll tackle it again in the a.m., and hit the pool - you feel me?

I've showered and now am going to catch a bite to eat at a Chinese place. Will be bloggin again soon.
