SOMETIMES WE SPLIT UP AND HIT IT FROM BOTH WAYS

If this were a journal entry, you would know that my life is bananas! Everytime I think about the journey I've taken to be able to have you read these words is something out of a Terry McMillan novel. Drama, intrigue, sex, violence, love, and determination are words that come to mind. Survivor, lost, found . . .

But this aint no journal entry and it's Saturday. Dallas is so beautiful today. I had separation anxiety for a hot minute, but was too tired to address it because getting up at 8AM after two months of going to bed at 4AM was like sliding a sponge circle into a rubbery square. I was late my first two days back. The kids forgave me even though I told them it still was not acceptable. Being around the kids was funny. I've learned valuable lessons about the Now. There are pods and pods and billions of pods of activity going on with adults that we forget while we're out doing what we do because we're grown, there are billions of pods trying to learn what we give them in order to be an adult. We have to teach responsibility. So, I'm doing better because of the kids and hopefully, they now know how to create their own fun creative learning environment, because depending on all adults (as you should be able to) is something else. Right?

HAS YOUR PARDON ME RELEASE COUNTDOWN BEGUN? IF NOT THEN START IT! APRIL 27.

"31 DAYS AND COUNTING . . . you got a month to get it together so we can blast it apart." That's what I say.

I'm sliding through Sankofa Cafe tonite to do a 40 minute set. Can you believe I'm nervous? Hell yeah, but I'm good. Didn't really advertise this one. Still got mind focused on completing the California run.

Last night, I was invited to a great Spanish meal with Tabitha, Eric, Molly and a few other close acquaintances. JTNL supporters are seen as divine to me and the guys. Genuinely good people who you'd probably be friends with no matter what. You know what I mean? Well, I was my own designated driver, so I after one tequila drink, which was muddy but effin' good, I headed back South. Overall, it was a great night (after completing my hours) to spend with wonderful people, excellent food, and weather you wanna bow down to. Little Ollie is getting majestic. He's rambunctious and there's nothing shy about him and a drum set. Had to mention that.

The Jimmel Kimmel air-date has been moved. Have no fear. The new air-date is APRIL 8, 2010. By the time you read this, you may already know.

The fellas are in Iowa staying in the room of a supposed haunted hotel. Based on my experience with them, Jimmy is the least likely to hang around if something pops off. Kansas and JT probably talked the most shit. Nick and Jordan would most likely befriend the ghost and see if he has some kind bud...like Scooby and Shaggy. It would have to really freak them out for fear to strike. The thoughts are funny. I'm not really into or afraid of spirits, haunts, ghosts, whatever. Don't start none, won't be none is my credo with all things living and not-any-more. Lol! Seriously. I have to be honest about it.

I went to an aerobics class this morning and we were working out to this Ashanti (the singer, not the tribe) song going at like 139 BPM's. I like music that makes me want to move and hearing this singer at this rate of speed just didn't quite hit the lick for me. I was not thrilled. Lol! It was fun however. I got my jump around on. I hate step aerobics. I'm always scared I'm not going to pick my foot up high enough and totally bust ass in front of the class.
