It's so hot in here right now, I think the devil might b up in Common Grounds cuz he a fan of good music. I'm reporting live right now from Gainesville Florida where JJ Grey is performing before about 300 fol in a room for 250. It's so fucking hot that I just cursed. We opened to sweat. Off the bat let me admit that I missed stage call tonite.

The band was playing and I was outside getting my drink and smoke in.

I miscalculated and apologize. I do my best not to hold the fellas accountible for my presence cuz... Well it's the nature of this beast.

So I did walk on just in time for my

Hello! It's Tuesday and we are in Tallahassee, Florida for a show tonight at the Engine Room. This place looks totally different in the daytime. I was certain we hadn't played here before until I saw the patio. Either way, it's good to be back on the job after having two days off. I normally don't blog about the days off because I'm usually working on other projects. However, I must tell you about arriving in Tallahassee. The clouds rolled in and we experienced rain. When we arrived in the city, I knew I had to get some soap and some socks.

Last nights show in Wilmington was a hot one! The Greenfield Amphitheatre is an outdoor complex that holds about 800 folks and it was packed. Out near an alligator filled lake (they kill about 10 a year) underneath a moon filled sky, we rocked it! The drive in was good. The best part about the night was celebrating the RANGERS win! Tha readio station there called THE PENGUIN is determined to have us back and the JJ Grey crew has embraced us fully. No mishaps except for the hotel rooms. We had three single bed rooms.

  • It's October 22. Time is moving without speed bumps it seems. Last
night we were in Charlotte, NC and the entire day was weird from
beginning to end. We got up at 8AM leaving Knoxville and all was good
although we were tired. Jordan was driving. About an hour and some
change out of Charlotte, I wake up to someone knocking on the window.
I look up (delirious and blinded by a mid-day sun) and see Jordan
standing outside right next to a state trooper. Shyt! Oddly enough, I
didn't panick, possibly becuz I was tired and couldn't see. We fall
out of the van and are lined up on the side of the

We opened for JJ Grey tonite at the Bijou theatre. This is a mid level fancy theatre where the seats are red velvet, but you can drink your beer from the can. Like the Apollo for country folk. Still and yet it's a great venue to play. We had a nine hour drive and it wasn't too bad. We had an in-store acoustic set at an odor record store called Disc Exchange. We were running sort of late. On the way in, I'd had lots of tea and water. While JT was doing a Smokey and the Bandit to get there, I woke up and had to pee. I couldn't wait either.

We r n Bloomington, Illinois and in the moment. Fresh off the stage!

Tonights show was a gear down from what's been happening. By this I mean the crowd seemed older, less likely to move their bodies but hell it's a Tuesday night and these r working people. No pressure. We had sound issues tonight. Feedback, but Jack always helps us overcome technicle difficulties. Also, we had Jager shots sent to the stage.

Ooooh Jager! So, folks came afterwards and showed us a great amount of love. I'm looking forward to seeing who logs into the website to let us know they were indeed listening.

Coming into Chicago is always a great city to play and we come alive driving into the city. Of course, this time our gas tank was on E, so the excitement was mixed with a great deal of concern because Chicago ain't like Dallas. Once you hit downtown in a van and trailer, getting gas is hardly an option. However, we did find a BP thanks to our space phones with built in locater devices. We get to the BP and gas up.

Last nights show in Louisville was outstanding! We drove in from Nashville with mediocre morale, little rest, and no expectations. I'm was in awe that a week had finally passed. Feels like I left home ages ago. So played Headliners and aside from the stank smell out back, this is a great venue to play. We got loaded in about an hour and some change before show time. The crowd was thick when we mounted the stage and alot of them were there to see us, which was great for morale boosting. From the first song, heads were nodding and bodies swaying.

By the time we ended the set with Crosstown
