Show number six of our six month tour happened outdoors before several hundreds in Nashville, TN. The weather was great! Let me precursor this with the fact that Nashville is one of our many homes away from home, so the level of pre and post show socializing peaks. We played before Dumpstaphunk, which I totally was xcited about, considering it's been rare occasions that I've even seen a Neville family member live and in person. This band is funky. From the roota to the toota...

Straight up jam funk. Our set was cool.

We r at Hi-Tone a small venue that has all the makings of a great place to do live music. I mean the crowd is more reseved, by this I mean not a lot of dancing. But they some singing, yelling, body rocking types.

It's been an hour since we left the stage. We did a forty-five minute set that felt like twenty. Songs tonite: Bright Energy, Pardon Me, She Wears A Smile, devils Basement, I Got This Feeling, Other Side, and Bring It On Home. We got new fans that's for sure.

I'm at the merch table watching JJ Grey do his last song.

We have done a free show at a new venue in Mobile, Alabama, which is the original home of Mardi Gras. This was a throw in show that we found out just as we were making plans to have the day off. Included in this package was also an acoustic set at triple A radio station 92 Zoo. JT, myself, Jordan and Kansas took the radio show as Nick Jay (who needs an acoustic bass like yesterday) handled set up and sound check. Pure was just like it sounded. More designed for a fashion show than a rock show, this venue was clean, crisp, and shinier on the inside than any venue we have played.

We have completed show number two with JJ Grey. We r in
Birmingham, Alabama. We changed our set a bit becuz last night in
Jackson, we r certain we came so hard, the folks could not process
what had happened to them. So this time we slid in on the crowd. JT
was proud to say that Alabama was his birth home - then had to follow
it up with being from Dallas where the Cowboys lost today. Womp! Womp!
Womp! However the reception after the show was waaay better! Merch
moved and folks in B-ham will spread the word. JT's sister is a BIG
supporter and she brought her friends out.

We r back on the road. This time for six weeks and I am commiting myself to reporting each night via iPhone. We have done our 45 minute set at Hal and Mals in Jackson, MS. JJ Grey goes on soon. There's about 200 plus folks here and they are ready to get electrified. We plugged them in. Hal and Mals has great food. I recommend the bisque and the Greek Salad with shrimp. Also the red beans and rice goes hard! The ride here was cool. Leaving Dallas-bittersweet. I did alot of sleeping on the way cuz I lost most of it in Dallas.

  • It's Saturday afternoon.  We drove in last night after a show in Arkansas.  Its a beautiful day here in Dallas.  It's finally cooled off enough to go outside while the sun is still out; and here I am inside on my computer.  The Texas versus Oklahoma football game is today.  It's one of the biggest events of the year if you live around here.  I'll catch the highlights from Nick or Brandon.

We've been filming a music video for "Gypsy Woman" and it's quite a process.  We did procure a killer vintage Lincoln Continental through our friend Laurence.
