We have survived our Midwest summer 2010! It's Thursday and we are on our way to Amarillo to finish things up. Last night we played Black Sheep in Colorado Springs. It was a glorified rehearsal. No one was there. Well, maybe three people outside of the staff. Moments like these are humbling and angst invoking all at once. The sound system here is bad ass however. Our show at the Bud Light Summer Nights festival turned out to be a hit. We were the only band and we brought out JTNL magnetism. We did two sets and JT made the cover of the Vail daily the next day!

Reporting from Wyoming. I was told last night that Grand Teton really means Big Breasts. Of course fans told me this and there was liquor nvolved! Our show at the Mangy Moose was a grand success.

We arrived after a four hour drive that was so breath taking it made losing the window in the hail storm appear to b a righteous blessing. Green mountains, highway side riverstreams and flowers with colors u can only find in the mega Crayola box. If u ever find yourself up this way u will see. Funny thing is I felt Montana was more beautiful until we arrived n Wyoming.

June 30 was yesterday and so was our show in Bozeman, Montana. We had load in at 7pm for a 10pm set start, but as is our way of rolling on the 'if something is to go wrong' theory...it did. We decided to leave the hotel at 5:30 or so. Ironically, that's when the rain clouds rolled in and started to bring the pain of Mother Nature. A hail storm of a rather violent nature rolls thru, knocks 20 windows out of other hotel rooms and wreaks havoc on the town. By the time we arrived at the Filling Station we weren't sure if we'd have an audience at all.

We r n South Dakota. The weather is sooo fine, we've all been trying to date it. Yesterday, we discovered that the lights r malfunctioned on the trailer. This affects us driving at night. Our plan is to journey closer to Wyoming, try to get some Yellowstone Park/Mt Rushmore experience and save tomorrow for van maintenance. We got new music we have been listening to. Jason Castro, Janelle Monae (Cindi Mayweather), B.o.B, Rush and kid Rock to name a few. You can ask opinions later. I can say listening to Kid Rock had jaws dropping. This is a good summer.
